Privacy & Cookies

A short, plain-English summary of how we use your data.

Last updated: 22 April 2026

We try to keep this simple. In short: we only collect the information we need to take your booking or answer your enquiry, we don't sell it to anyone, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are

Gosswood Park, Greenacres Farm, Somerset, UK.
Contact: [email protected] · 07879 234299.

Jo and Simon are the data controllers for this site.

What we collect and why

  • Booking & contact form submissions. When you use the Book a Stay form, we collect your name, email, phone number, stay dates, and any notes you add. We use this only to process your booking and answer your enquiry.
  • Website analytics. None. We don't run Google Analytics or any visitor tracking. Our hosting partner keeps minimal technical logs (IP address, request time, URL) for security and reliability — these are deleted after a short retention window.

How long we keep your data

We keep booking records for as long as we need to for tax purposes (HMRC asks for 6 years). Enquiries that don't become bookings we delete within 12 months.

Third-party services this site uses

  • Tally — powers our booking and contact forms. Submissions are stored in Tally's systems. Tally privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts — the fonts on this page are served from Google. Google may log your IP address as part of this.
  • Google Maps — when you tap the map on the homepage or contact page, the map is loaded from Google. Google may log your IP address.
  • Fleming Digital — builds and hosts this site on our behalf. No analytics, minimal technical logs for security only.

Cookies

This site does not set any tracking or analytics cookies. The only time cookies are involved is if you interact with the Tally form or the Google Maps iframe, at which point those services may set their own cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what data we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete your data entirely

Just email [email protected] and we'll sort it within 30 days.

If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.
